What we do and don't hold.
- We collect the minimum needed to take payment and send your receipt: your email and payment details, which are handled by our payment provider.
- We never store your sealed key phrases. Ever. Sealed content is encrypted in your browser, your key phrase never reaches us, and without it the words cannot be read.
- Anything you choose to write to Bitcoin is public by nature. A handle you add is shown on the public record. Leave it blank to stay anonymous.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run ads.
01What we collect
Email address. Provided at checkout, used to send your receipt and your reader link. Payment information. Collected and processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details. Optional handle. If you add one, it is published with your record. Leaving it blank keeps the record anonymous.
02What we never collect or store
Your sealed key phrases. For sealed records, encryption happens in your browser and the key phrase never reaches our servers. Because we never receive it, we cannot read your sealed content, hand it over, or recover it for you.
03What becomes public
Content you write to Bitcoin is, by its nature, stored on a public ledger. Short and full records are publicly readable. Sealed records are public as encrypted data but unreadable without your key. Any handle you attach is public. Consider carefully what you choose to write.
04Payment processing
Payments are handled by our payment provider, who processes your card details under their own privacy terms. We receive confirmation of payment and your email, not your full payment credentials.
05Cookies and analytics
We use only what is necessary to operate the site. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
06Your choices
You can use the service without creating an account. You can stay anonymous on the public record by leaving the handle blank. You may contact us to ask what email-linked information we hold.
